About LEEC
Established in 1953, LEEC Limited is an independent, privately owned Nottingham-based manufacturing company offering a wide range of specialist products and equipment across sectors including laboratory, pathology, funeral, and mortuary environments. With more than 70 years' experience, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and solutions that meet the specific requirements of our customers.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Sales Coordinator to join our office-based Sales team. This is a technical and commercially focused sales support position. The successful candidate will have a technical or practical background and be comfortable interpreting customer requirements, product specifications, and technical information.
Working closely with the Sales Office Manager, Sales Coordinators, and wider Sales team, you will provide additional technical expertise within the office, supporting customer enquiries, product selection, and the preparation of accurate quotations and proposals across LEEC's specialist product ranges. You do not need previous experience of LEEC products. However, you will need the technical aptitude and transferable skills to develop a strong understanding of our equipment and how different products, specifications, configurations, and options meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming customer enquiries and establish the technical and commercial requirements needed to prepare an accurate quotation.
- Assist the Sales Office team with more technical or complex product enquiries.
- Interpret product specifications, technical data, drawings, and customer requirements.
- Identify appropriate LEEC products, models, configurations, options, and accessories to meet customer requirements.
- Obtain technical information, pricing, lead times, and product specifications from suppliers and manufacturers where required.
- Work with the Sales Office team to ensure enquiries and quotations are progressed efficiently and accurately.
- Liaise with the external Sales team where additional information or clarification of a customer's requirements is needed.
- Provide first-line technical product information to customers and colleagues using approved product specifications and documentation.
- Recognise when an enquiry requires specialist engineering, design, installation, or service input and escalate it to the appropriate department.
- Follow up quotations and customer enquiries where required, helping to progress opportunities through the sales process.
- Support the handover of successful quotations into customer orders, ensuring the quoted specification matches the customer's purchase order.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of LEEC's product portfolio.
- Build effective working relationships with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and colleagues across the business.
- Provide technical and commercial support to the Sales Office Manager and wider Sales team as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who can bring technical knowledge and problem-solving ability into our Sales Office.
You may not have worked within LEEC's particular industries before, but you should be comfortable looking at a technical customer enquiry, understanding the information provided, identifying what information is missing, and working through the available product options to help determine the appropriate solution.
This role would suit someone who enjoys the technical side of sales and quoting but prefers to work as part of an office-based team rather than in a field sales position.
Scope of the Role
The Technical Sales Coordinator will provide first-line technical and commercial support within the Sales Office.
