Technical Sales Engineer

Peterborough

£45,000 - £60,000 Basic + Bonus + Company Car / Car Allowance + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Career Progression + Growing Business + Full Product Training

Are you a technically minded technical sales engineer with experience selling into the manufacturing or FMCG sectors? Your Role as a Technical Sales Engineer Will Include:

  • Developing new business opportunities across manufacturing and FMCG customers.
  • Managing and growing existing customer accounts through a consultative sales approach.
  • Providing technical advice and recommending bespoke packaging solutions.
  • Conducting customer meetings, site visits, and product demonstrations.
  • Producing quotations, negotiating commercial agreements, and managing projects through to completion.
  • Working closely with internal technical, production, and customer service teams to ensure excellent delivery.
  • Covering Peterborough and the surrounding region with occasional UK travel.

The Successful Technical Sales Engineer Will Have:

  • Experience in a technical sales, area sales, business development, or account management role.
  • Background selling into manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial customers.
  • Experience within the packaging industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and driven to exceed sales targets.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
