Technical Sales Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing pumps division. The ideal candidate will be someone that is commercially minded who combines strong technical understanding with the ability to build lasting customer relationships and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend customer sites to undertake detailed surveys, inspections and condition assessments.
  • Assess the operational performance, reliability and suitability of pumps, controls, booster sets and associated systems.
  • Recommend solutions that improve reliability, maintainability and whole-life cost performance.
  • Prepare accurate and commercially robust quotations, estimates and proposals.
  • Build long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across the wider Metcor business.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings and account reviews.
  • Drive Sales growth across a defined portfolio of clients.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the pumps, wastewater, water, building services, FM, M&E or related engineering sector.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, estimating, project sales, applications engineering or account management.
  • Strong technical understanding of pumps, controls and associated mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrable experience carrying out site surveys and developing technical solutions.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven history of strong customer retention and account growth.
  • Experience producing accurate technical quotations and estimates.
