Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire – Hybrid
Working Pattern: 3 days per week in the office
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Travel: Regular international travel required
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales engineer to join a growing international business specialising in innovative UVC disinfection and UV-C technology. Based in Luton with hybrid working, you will be responsible for developing and growing the customer base across UK and Ireland, identifying new business opportunities and managing key customer relationships.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with a strong technical aptitude who enjoys selling complex products and building long-term relationships. You will work with customers across industries including food and beverage, HVAC, drinking water treatment, pharmaceuticals and industrial applications, providing technical advice, product demonstrations and tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new and existing customer accounts across the UK and Ireland
- Identify new business opportunities and develop effective sales strategies to achieve growth targets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, distributors and key industrial accounts
- Provide technical sales support, product demonstrations, training and consultancy
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate UVC disinfection solutions
- Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial presentations and lead negotiations through to successful completion
- Work closely with technical support, engineering and product management teams to deliver the right solutions for customers
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within the UVC disinfection, hygiene and industrial technology sectors
- Travel regularly throughout the US and Latin America to meet customers, attend industry events and support business development activities

About You
We are looking for a confident and motivated Technical Sales engineer, Industrial Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or Sales Engineer with experience selling technical or industrial products. You will have strong commercial and communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain complex technical products to customers. Experience within the food and beverage industry or a basic understanding of microbiology would be highly advantageous.

Experience selling UVC/UV-C disinfection systems, hygiene technology, industrial equipment, water treatment, HVAC solutions or related technical products would be beneficial, although full product training will be provided. You will be self-motivated, organised and comfortable working independently while collaborating with technical and product teams.
