Description

Technical Sales Engineer

Aldershot, Hampshire | £45,000-£55,000 DOE | 25-30% UK & International Travel

Are you a technically minded professional who enjoys working with customers, presenting products and solving technical problems?

We're working with a specialist UK manufacturer that designs and produces personal protection and life-support equipment for people working in high-risk environments. Due to continued development, they are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team in Aldershot.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical and customer-facing side of sales, but isn't necessarily driven by traditional sales targets.

The Role

You'll act as a technical point of contact for customers, end users and the wider sales team, helping to explain, demonstrate and support a range of specialist products.

You'll work closely with the Sales Director, commercial team and product specialists, providing technical input throughout the sales process and helping customers understand how products can be used in their specific applications.

The Role Will Include

  • Supporting customer meetings, technical presentations and sales pitches
  • Demonstrating products to customers and end users
  • Providing pre- and post-sales technical support
  • Visiting customer sites to understand technical requirements
  • Delivering product training and technical briefings
  • Supporting the global sales team with technical product knowledge
  • Evaluating and testing products
  • Feeding customer and end-user feedback into product development
  • Supporting the development and improvement of new and existing products
  • Working with customers, distributors, OEMs and end users across the UK and internationally
  • Helping the commercial team identify opportunities where technical expertise can support sales

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
