Technical Sales Engineer

West or East Midlands, or Wales | Home-Based | £[Basic Salary] + Uncapped Commission + Car Allowance

Join a leading ground engineering specialist delivering innovative solutions for subsidence, foundation remediation and complex structural challenges across the built environment.

Our client is a recognised specialist in subsidence repair, ground improvement, re-levelling and asset preservation, providing innovative and sustainable solutions to complex structural and foundation issues. Due to continued growth across the UK, they are seeking an ambitious Technical Sales Engineer or Business Development Manager to develop new business and strengthen existing relationships across Wales and the Midlands, with a particular focus on the social housing, residential, commercial and public sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional with a technical background to take ownership of a growing regional territory and play a key role in expanding the company's presence across these markets.

The Opportunity

This is a consultative, solution-led sales role where you'll work with housing associations, local authorities, surveyors, structural engineers, insurers, property managers and homeowners to identify subsidence and ground engineering challenges and provide innovative technical solutions.

You will manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to site assessment, solution design, quotation, negotiation and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new business opportunities across Greater London and the South East
  • Build strong relationships with housing associations, local authorities, surveyors, engineers and property professionals
  • Conduct site visits and technical assessments
  • Recommend tailored ground engineering and subsidence solutions
  • Prepare technical proposals and quotations
  • Manage opportunities through the sales process to successful completion
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM system
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and after-sales support
  • Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in technical sales, engineering sales, construction sales, geotechnical sales, surveying or a related sector
  • Knowledge of the built environment, civil engineering, foundations, subsidence, structural remediation or housing sectors
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and target driven
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role
  • Full UK Driving Licence
