Turn technical insight into real-world impact
Help leading brands understand their energy use, reduce waste and make their buildings perform better.
At Best.Energy, we make buildings smarter, more efficient and more sustainable. Our energy monitoring and control technology gives organisations the insight they need to reduce costs and take meaningful action towards net zero.
We’re looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who combines technical understanding with commercial confidence. Someone who can understand a customer’s challenges, identify the right solution and build a compelling case for investment across multiple sites.
The Details
- 📍 UK-based, with hybrid working
- 💰 £60,000+ base salary with OTE of £120,000+
- 📄 Permanent, full-time
- 🚗 Regular UK-wide travel required for customer meetings and site visits
About the Role
You’ll help organisations turn complex energy challenges into practical, commercially sound solutions. Working with senior decision-makers, technical teams and operational stakeholders, you’ll connect what our technology can do with the results that matter to each customer.
We’re particularly interested in experience within multi-site hospitality and working with global brands, where solutions need to deliver value at individual locations and across an entire estate.
From initial discovery and site visits through to proposals, negotiations and contract signature, you’ll combine a consultative sales approach with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. You’ll work closely with our technical and delivery teams to ensure proposals are achievable and customers experience a smooth handover.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
