About Us
Manotherm Limited is a long-established supplier of instrumentation and controls to industry across Ireland. Our Northern Ireland office specialises in electric process heating and temperature control. This includes heat bands, cartridge heaters, and PID controllers supplying customers in manufacturing, plastics, process, food and beverage, and related industries. We pride ourselves on technical expertise and strong customer relationships built over decades.
We are now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our Northern Ireland operation, covering both internal and external sales.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position that combines customer-facing sales with technical support and day-to-day sales administration. You will be the face of Manotherm to many of our customers, so strong communication skills and a genuine interest in solving customers' technical problems are essential.
Initially, the role will focus on our core Northern Ireland product lines: heat bands, cartridge heaters, and PID temperature controllers. Once established, you will have a genuine opportunity to develop and grow the wider Manotherm product range in Northern Ireland, opening up new lines of business and making the role your own.

Throughout, you will be mentored by our Sales Director in the North, who brings over 30 years of experience in the industry. This is an exceptional opportunity to learn the business from one of the most experienced people in the field.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support and product advice to customers, both in the office and face to face on customer sites
- Visiting new and existing customers to build relationships and grow our customer base across Northern Ireland
- Preparing and following up on quotations
- Processing sales orders and invoicing
- Picking, packing, and dispatching products to customers
- Working closely with colleagues and suppliers to ensure customers receive the right solution, on time
About You
- An electrical or electronic background is essential. This could be a qualification (Level 3 / HNC / HND / degree in Electrical Engineering or similar) or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
- An excellent communicator who is confident and personable dealing with customers face to face, by phone, and by email.
- Comfortable explaining technical products in a clear, practical way.
- Organised and reliable, able to manage administrative tasks accurately (quotes, orders, invoicing).
- Willing to travel to customer sites when required (full driving licence required).
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to developing new business.
- Experience with electric heating elements, temperature control, instrumentation, or industrial sales would be an advantage but is not essential – full product training and mentoring will be provided.
