The family is in their fifth generation and plays a hands-on role in running the business. Most people know us for our stairlifts. Our range of products includes lifts, escalators, and homelifts. We also provide maintenance and repair services.

Stannah's New Lift Division is growing, and we're looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our ambitious team. Whether you're already building a successful career in lift sales or you're a Lift Engineer ready to take your technical expertise into a commercial role, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a trusted industry leader.
Covering the South Midlands, with some travel into the South East and East Midlands, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a home-based role while building relationships with customers across the region. Every day will bring variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact.
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you'll help customers find the right solution from our Machinery Directive lift range. You'll identify new business opportunities, develop strong customer relationships, provide technical guidance, and create tailored proposals that deliver real value. Your expertise and industry knowledge will play a key role in growing our presence within the new lift market.

We're looking for someone who understands the lift industry, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated by delivering results. Previous lift sales experience would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in hearing from Lift Engineers who are ready to step into a customer-facing commercial role. If you have strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for helping customers, we'd love to hear from you.

- Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:30
- Friday 08:30 - 13:30
Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities
- Achieve annual targeted sales, average selling prices and conversion ratios
- Monitor and report on progress, identifying and acting upon issues and concerns that arise
- Formulate and exercise strategies for optimising sales
- Assess the needs of the client through good questioning techniques
- Provide quotations that are accurate and ensure leads and quotes are followed up
- Identify, visit and build relationships with prospects and repeat customers
- Carry out site visits where required

Qualifications
Technical Sales Engineer Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a lift industry job, ideally in a sales capacity
- Relevant professional or technical qualification or related experience
