Location: Glasgow, G81 4HT
Salary: £36,000 Per Year
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week
Car: Company car / Car allowance


We're looking for an experienced and driven Sales Engineer to join our growing Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused technical sales professional to drive the growth of our equipment / service portfolio across Scotland. You'll work with customers across a diverse range of industries, including Industrial Manufacturing, Quarries, Oil & Gas, Biomass, Food & Beverage Etc.

You'll build on established customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities, utilising internal input where required in providing expert technical solutions that deliver real value to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth across the region.
  • Understand and interpret customer specifications and technical requirements.
  • Recommend and specify the most suitable / cost effective solutions for each application.
  • Liaise with manufacturers to identify the best equipment options.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals.
  • Provide product expertise and technical support to customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to achieve business goals.
  • Manage customer accounts and support projects from enquiry through to order completion.

What We Are Looking For:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within an engineering environment.
  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and practical understanding of rotating equipment, motors, geared motors, pumps.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities effectively.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Established knowledge of industrial markets across Scotland.
  • Experience working with customers in the Industrial Manufacturing, Quarries, Oil & Gas, Biomass, Food & Beverage Etc. sectors.
  • Familiarity with any of the following, rotating equipment, motors, geared motors, pumps and process equipment applications.
