Technical Sales Engineer
St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Occasional travel to customer sites
A leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery is actively seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their team in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
Their innovative processing, production and packaging line equipment is used across a wide variety of industries including food & FMCG.
About the Role
In this business-critical role you will be the link between engineering and sales, producing technical and commercial proposals that will result in the awarding of projects from client opportunities.
You will be taking ownership of the full life cycle of bids from initial enquiry through to internal handover, working closely with the Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Procurement Teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the link between engineering and sales.
- Produce technical and commercial proposals.
- Manage the full life cycle of bids from initial enquiry to internal handover.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Procurement Teams.

Requirements
Applications are invited from Technical Sales Engineers, Applications Engineers, Proposals Engineers with experience of working with a special purpose machinery manufacturer or similar.
- Previous experience of the food industry would be beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to use SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Good customer-facing skills.
