Technical Sales Engineer – Directorship Opportunity

To £60,000 + Car/Allowance, Bonus

Remote Working. Ref: 25730

A genuine opportunity to help shape the future of an established and growing business.

An established and expanding industrial technology and control panel integration business is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join the team and play a key role in the next stage of its growth.

This is more than a traditional Technical Sales position. The current Managing Director is planning his retirement and, as part of the succession plan, this role offers an experienced, commercially-minded engineer the opportunity to take a leading role in developing sales and growing the business, with the potential for Directorship for the right person.

The Opportunity

You will become a key point of contact for both existing and prospective customers, developing relationships with industrial manufacturing businesses and identifying opportunities where automation, control and electrical solutions can improve their processes. Rather than selling an off-the-shelf product, you will work with customers to understand their requirements, develop the initial concept solution and then produce a technically sound and commercially viable proposal in conjunction with the engineering team.

You will have the freedom and responsibility to develop your own sales pipeline, build on current long-term customer relationships and identify new markets and applications for the company's capabilities. For the right individual, this could develop into a senior leadership position and ultimately a Directorship, taking responsibility for the commercial development and future growth of the business.

Technical Sales Engineer – The Role

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
