Job purpose:

The Technical Sales Engineer, as part of the global technical sales team, serves as the primary point of contact for customers and distributors across international sales channels for all LAND products. The role manages the full lifecycle of customer enquiries and projects, from initial contact and requirements capture through feasibility assessment, solution configuration, validation, and order acceptance, ensuring solutions meet defined performance, quality, and application requirements. Acting as the key interface between sales and engineering, the role provides technical and commercial support, leads customer projects, and coordinates stakeholders across the business to deliver effective solutions and an outstanding customer experience. Where standard products do not meet customer needs, the Technical Sales Engineer works closely with engineering teams to develop tailored solutions, remaining the technical lead and customer point of contact throughout the process to support design discussions, resolve technical queries, and guide complex engineering decisions through to a successful, deliverable outcome.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage technical projects from initial customer enquiry through specification, solution design, validation, and handover.
  • Act as the primary technical interface for customers, sales and distributors during project execution, providing application expertise and engineering guidance.
  • Support the preparation of technically accurate proposals, quotations, and solution documentation in collaboration with commercial teams.
  • Oversee the allocation and global distribution of demonstration and evaluation equipment to support project delivery and validation activities.
  • On occasion attending site to complete demonstration while using technical and application knowledge to show customers how our equipment solves their problem.
  • Driving both immediate revenue opportunities and long-term growth through innovation and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by feeding product improvement ideas, industry trends, and customer insights into the development team, while also driving the development and refinement of business processes and application standards.
  • Capture and analyse customer feedback and performance data (VOC) to inform engineering improvements and product development.
  • Identify training and capability gaps within distributor channels and support structured technical training initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams where required to ensure alignment and consistency of engineering standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
