Join JELD-WEN at our Brand-New Sheffield Facility!

Are you experienced in estimating, technical sales or commercial construction products? Do you enjoy turning complex specifications into accurate, commercially competitive solutions?

We're looking for a Technical Sales Estimator to join our growing Commercial Doorsets team at our new Bessemer Park manufacturing facility in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our customers, sales teams, and operations functions by providing technically compliant, commercially competitive quotations for commercial door sets and related products.

About the Role

What impact you will make:

  • Prepare accurate quotations for commercial door sets, door kits, and associated hardware.
  • Deliver accurate and timely quotations while acting as a key link between customers, sales, and operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure technical compliance.
  • Apply pricing structures and margin targets in line with business objectives.
  • Assess customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
  • Identify specification gaps, project risks, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Ensure quotations comply with relevant building regulations, fire ratings, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers and internal sales teams.
  • Work closely with scheduling, production, and procurement teams to ensure operational feasibility.
  • Support effective handovers from quotation through to order placement.
  • Maintain accurate records within Salesforce and other business systems.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience in estimating, quotations, or technical sales.
  • Experience working with customers in a commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of building products, construction materials, doorsets, joinery, or related industries. Estimating experience of doors sets desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
