Role Description

This full-time Technical Sales Executive role is based in Alderley Edge with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site and work-from-home flexibility. The position involves managing the full sales cycle for water treatment and disinfection solutions, including prospecting, qualifying leads, preparing proposals, and closing opportunities. Day-to-day activities include meeting with clients, understanding technical and regulatory requirements, conducting site visits, and presenting solutions that align with customer needs. The Technical Sales Executive will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to prepare accurate quotations, support project delivery, and maintain high customer satisfaction. The role also includes monitoring market trends, maintaining a pipeline in the CRM system, and contributing to sales forecasts and strategic account planning.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts related to water treatment, disinfection systems, and industrial processes.
  • Experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development, ideally within engineering, environmental services, or related technical sectors.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Competence with CRM tools, basic data analysis, and standard office software to manage pipelines, proposals, and customer communications.
  • Proactive approach to lead generation, networking, and relationship building across multiple industries.
  • Ability to work independently, organize priorities, and manage travel to customer sites while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Background in engineering, science, or a related field is beneficial; a relevant degree or equivalent technical experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory considerations in industrial water treatment environments is an advantage.
