Role Description

This is a full-time Technical Sales Executive role based in Wilmslow with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site customer engagement and some work from home. The Technical Sales Executive will identify and qualify new business opportunities, manage a sales pipeline, and build strong relationships with clients in sectors that require water treatment and disinfection. The role involves understanding customer requirements, proposing technically sound solutions, preparing quotations, and delivering presentations and product demonstrations. The Technical Sales Executive will collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure accurate solution design, support tenders and proposals, and follow up on projects to drive customer satisfaction and repeat business. Regular reporting on sales activity, market trends, and competitor activity will be expected, along with participation in industry events and site visits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical or industrial sales, ideally within water treatment, engineering, environmental services, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, with solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining customer relationships, handling negotiations, and managing a structured sales pipeline.
  • Comfort with hybrid working, including travel to client sites, and effective time management when working independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including preparing proposals, reports, and presentations.
  • Basic IT skills, including use of CRM systems, office productivity tools, and online meeting platforms.
  • Relevant educational background in science, engineering, or a related discipline is beneficial; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory considerations around water treatment and disinfection is an advantage.
