Regional Business Manager – Technical Sales
Leicester | Coventry | Northampton | Milton Keynes | Luton | Nottingham | Hertfordshire
Excellent Salary + Bonus + Company Car + Benefits
We’re looking for an ambitious, technically minded sales professional to join a highly successful global organisation as a Regional Business Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing new business and getting to grips with technical products and applications. Previous electronics experience is not essential.
What we're really looking for is someone with sales experience, a technical mindset and the drive to take ownership of a busy and commercially important territory.
The Opportunity
You'll manage and develop customers across your region, combining account management with proactive new business development. Rather than simply selling products, you'll spend time understanding your customers' businesses, applications and technical requirements before working with them to identify the most appropriate solutions. You'll be responsible for:
- Developing and growing existing customer relationships
- Identifying and winning new business across the territory
- Building relationships with engineers, technical teams, purchasing departments and commercial decision-makers
- Identifying new projects and sales opportunities
- Presenting technical products and solutions
- Managing your own sales pipeline and territory strategy
- Working alongside internal technical specialists
- Developing long-term, commercially valuable customer partnerships

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What Are We Looking For?
Your attitude, technical aptitude and sales ability are more important than the specific industry you currently work within. You could come from engineering, manufacturing, automation, electrical products, industrial equipment, mechanical products, technical distribution, components, OEM sales or another technical B2B environment.
We're particularly interested in people who are commercially driven, technically curious, confident and ambitious. You'll need to be comfortable developing new business as well as managing existing relationships and be able to communicate confidently with both technical and commercial customers. Most importantly, you'll have the desire and ability to learn. Comprehensive product and technical training will be provided, so previous experience within electronic components isn't essential.
