Hybrid Working | Reading HQ & Client Sites (Mainly South, however National travel also required)
Hours: Monday to Friday 7am / 7.30am – 4pm / 4.30pm

We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading business operating within the construction and built environment sector. With significant growth plans, a strong order book and a proven sales methodology, this is an opportunity to join a highly successful team selling bespoke, project-led solutions into major residential developments across the UK.
This is not a cold-calling role. You'll inherit opportunities that have already been nurtured and qualified, allowing you to focus on building relationships, developing winning strategies, navigating complex stakeholder groups and securing large-scale projects.
Typical project values are circa £2 million, with top performers managing sales portfolios worth £30 million+ annually.
The Role
As Technical Sales Lead, you will take ownership of a portfolio of live opportunities, guiding projects through the sales process from technical consultation through to commercial agreement and order placement.

Working closely with Estimators, Commercial teams and Technical specialists, you will develop tailored solutions, lead negotiations and build long-term relationships with clients across the construction sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a pipeline of complex project opportunities.
- Developing winning sales strategies for large-scale construction projects.
- Leading client meetings, presentations and commercial negotiations.
- Building relationships with developers, contractors, architects and key decision-makers.
- Reviewing technical drawings and project specifications.
- Coordinating with internal technical and pre-construction teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Driving projects through the sales cycle to successful contract award.
- Maintaining accurate pipeline forecasts and CRM records.
- Achieving and exceeding sales and conversion targets.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in ambitious, commercially astute sales professionals who are motivated by winning business and building long-term client relationships.
You will likely have experience within:

- Construction products or building materials.
- Façades, cladding, glazing, windows or doors.
- HVAC or M&E solutions.
- Technical manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record in Project-led sales.
- Other complex, consultative B2B sales sectors.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Experience selling technical or project-based solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- A proactive, resilient and results-driven approach.
- Hunter mentality with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
- Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
