Technical Sales Manager
Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Technical Sales Manager at Surveytech, located in Mitcham with some potential remote and site work. You will need to be able to commute to our office in South London every day if required. The successful candidate will have responsibility for sales, building our customer base and supporting them with technical challenges. They will interface with manufacturers and stay up to date with market trends, and will work collaboratively to ensure that we provide the best possible experience for our customers. They will be responsible for following up on leads and generating sales through direct contact and marketing activities, working alongside brands and the team at Surveytech.
Surveytech has been very successful with newer ventures in reality capture and machine control alongside the more traditional range of total stations and GNSS we have offered over the past decade. The potential growth of reality capture in the UK over the next decade is enormous when viewed in a global context: you’ll be helping clients adopt some of the most exciting technology around, with Matterport leveraging AI for its immersive digital twin platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
