Technical Sales Manager
Role: Technical Sales Manager
Package: £50,000 plus £5,000 car allowance
Hours / pattern: On site
Overview
Provide expert technical sales support for products: lead product demonstrations, deliver customer training and technical presentations, support trials and roll-outs, and own technical responses for bids and tenders. The role carries commercial responsibility to identify and support new business opportunities while maintaining an accurate sales pipeline through Salesforce.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and customer training
- Provide expert guidance on product selection, installation, operation, and servicing to customers and distributors.
- Support customer trials, roll-outs, and implementation activities, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
- Lead or take ownership of technical responses to bids, tenders, and formal customer enquiries.
- Work with the sales team to identify and develop new commercial opportunities and support pre- and post-sales activities.
- Build and maintain strong customer and distributor relationships; respond to customer and service enquiries.

What we are looking for
- Experience in technical sales, sales support, engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role
- Ability to understand technical products and explain product selection, installation, operation, and servicing clearly
- Confident delivery of product demonstrations, training, and technical presentations
- Strong customer relationship, communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and support new business opportunities
- Able to support trials, roll-outs, and implementation activities
- Able to lead or take ownership of technical responses for bids and tenders
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and prioritization skills
- Able to work proactively and independently while collaborating with customers, distributors, and internal teams
- Able to work full-time on site in Anlaby, Hull; remote working is unavailable
- Relevant technical, engineering, or sales qualification and/or demonstrable practical experience in a related field
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM to maintain an accurate sales pipeline
