About the role:
There’s a new opportunity within our Technical Solutions Manager - Solutions for the North West area. Reporting directly to the Specification and Sector Manager, you’ll play an integral part in maximizing market share and sales through relationships with specifiers & Key contractors in offering solutions to the market in line with customer requirements. You will need to enhance the customer experience and provide a competitive advantage within Commercial HVAC market for Baxi.
What will you be doing?
As the Technical Solutions Manager – Solutions for the North West area you will be instrumental in developing a bank of sales specifications opportunities taking into account all Baxi ranges to meet customers’ needs as the market continues to move to decarbonized options.
To use your contacts, relationships and specification details to facilitate the targeted business and profitability levels as dictated by the company.
On a daily basis you’ll be responsible for:
- Deliver the Solutions selling strategy, growth and lead generation within your defined area.
- Deliver solutions to specifiers and contractors needs, to ensure as order bank of sales that can be delivered through our distribution partners.
- Work closely with the Technical Solutions team who will provide technical support and solution design help secure specifications with focus on decarbonization.
- Identify opportunities for utilizing existing brands for further acquisition and company growth into new sectors within the HVAC sector.
- Fully embracing the vision and values of the company.
- Organised, proactive approach to managing sales activity for the company.
- Deliver the budget and build the project pipeline.
- Meet and exceed all KPI’s outlined by your Manager.
- Manage day-to-day activities, reports and communications.
- Forecast demand and identify trends – by having close relationships with key customers and decision makers.
- Working on multiple projects at different stages, at the same time.
- Providing detailed consultations with Design engineers and Contractors.
- Negotiating and managing the needs and expectations of our customers aiming to influence the buying decision.

To be successful in your application you’ll need to have the following:
Essential
- Extensive experience within a technical and engineering discipline or be educated to HND/Degree level.
- Proven track record of delivering lead generation and sales across multiple channels and multiple market segments.
- Experience of senior level negotiation and dealing within conflict.
- Ability to use mathematical concepts to create solutions for presentation and implementation to a non-technical audience.
- Highly numerate, ability to turn data into information and action.
- Ability to understand and interpret the market, products and services.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Broad knowledge of UK construction and routes to market.
- Excellent all-round communicator, possessing strong electronic, written and oral communication abilities, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Worked across multiple segments and applications in the construction industry.

Desirable
- Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate this across key external and internal stakeholders.
- Experience within a highly technical B2B manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge/understanding and ownership of government framework agreements.
- Experience in successfully implementing a low carbon and high efficiency agenda.
