Select Talent Group (STG) is delighted to be partnering with a growing electronic component design and manufacturing business to recruit an External Technical Sales Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established business as it evolves into an engineering-led partner for high-reliability, telecom and critical-infrastructure applications.

We are looking for a technically credible, results-driven sales professional to spearhead new-business growth across markets including:

  • Aerospace and defence
  • Telecoms and 5G
  • Industrial electronics
  • Automotive and ADAS
  • Drones and unmanned systems
  • Medical devices

This is a genuine new-business, design-in sales role. You will engage with electronics design engineers, hardware architects, and technical decision-makers, positioning specialist electronic component solutions at the earliest stage of product development.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and securing new design-in opportunities with OEMs, design houses, and engineering teams
  • Building relationships with technical and commercial decision-makers
  • Selling engineering-led solutions rather than catalogue products
  • Developing and managing a structured sales pipeline
  • Delivering profitable growth while protecting margin
  • Working closely with engineering and FAE teams on technical proposals and customized solutions
  • Negotiating commercial terms and closing new business
  • Representing the company at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events

You will ideally have experience selling electronic components, semiconductors, passives, RF products, or other related technologies. A technical qualification in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline would be advantageous, although equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

This role would suit an ambitious, self-motivated sales professional who enjoys opening doors, influencing product design, and developing long-term, high-value customer relationships.
