Sales Manager – Solar PV & Battery Energy Storage
Warrington | Hybrid | £65,000 + Bonus + Car
H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting a Sales Manager for a renewable energy business delivering solar PV and battery storage projects across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale markets. This is a hands-on opportunity to build new business and take ownership of opportunities from the first conversation through to tender, negotiation, and contract award.
The Role
- Generate new opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Build a qualified pipeline and convert opportunities into secured project orders.
- Develop relationships with customers, consultants, and key project stakeholders.
- Lead tender submissions and coordinate technical and commercial input into proposals.
- Work with internal teams to develop competitive, commercially sound customer solutions.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract execution.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and CRM records.

What We’re Looking For
- You’ll bring a track record in technical B2B sales or business development, with evidence of generating leads, managing complex proposals, and closing business.
- Experience in solar PV, battery storage, or wider renewables would be particularly relevant. We’re also interested in candidates from electrical contracting, energy services, engineering, infrastructure, or construction who have sold technical solutions and managed competitive tenders.
- Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders are essential. A technical or engineering qualification would be beneficial but isn’t required.

Package and Working Arrangements
- £65,000 salary.
- Bonus and car.
- Hybrid working, with approximately three days per week in the Warrington office when not travelling for business.
- Customer and project-site travel.
