Role Description

The Technical Sales Manager is a full-time role. This position is responsible for developing new business and managing existing accounts, focusing on hydraulic service solutions for industrial and commercial customers.

  • Identifying sales opportunities
  • Visiting customer sites
  • Delivering technical product and service presentations
  • Preparing proposals and quotes
  • Providing technical support to customers
  • Coordinating closely with operational teams to ensure service delivery
  • Monitoring sales performance against targets

Additionally, the Technical Sales Manager maintains accurate CRM records, follows up on leads, and builds long-term customer relationships aligned with Pirtek’s 24/7 service offering.

Qualifications

  • Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with proven experience in an industrial or engineering environment.
  • Effective Account Management and Customer Service skills to build and sustain long-term client relationships.
  • Technical Support capabilities, including the ability to understand hydraulic systems or similar technical products and explain them clearly to customers.
  • Solid communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Results-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in hydraulics, engineering, or mechanical services and a valid driver’s license are highly beneficial.
  • A relevant qualification in engineering, business, or a related field is advantageous but equivalent experience will be considered.
