Location: Remote / Field Based - UK & Europe

Salary: Up to £100,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Yolk Recruitment is supporting a leading global manufacturer within the construction and building-products sector with the recruitment of an experienced Technical Sales Manager - Data Centres to drive continued growth across the UK and European Data Centre market.

This is a senior, specification-led commercial position focused exclusively on developing opportunities within the Data Centre sector. You'll work with Data Centre developers, operators, end users, architects, consultants, main contractors, developing relationships at an early stage and positioning technical building-envelope solutions across major Data Centre projects.

Previous Data Centre sector experience is essential for this position. We're looking for someone who already understands the Data Centre construction market, has established experience working with relevant clients and project stakeholders and understands how major Data Centre projects progress from early design and specification through procurement, construction and delivery.

This is a remote, field-based position with responsibility for developing Data Centre opportunities throughout the UK and Europe, so regular travel will form an important part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop new Data Centre construction opportunities across the UK and Europe, targeting projects from early development through to construction.
  • Build strong relationships with Data Centre developers, operators, end users, architects, consultants, main contractors, specialist subcontractors and other key decision-makers.
  • Engage with customers and project stakeholders during the early design and specification stages, identifying opportunities to position appropriate roofing, cladding and wider building-envelope solutions.
  • Understand project requirements and work closely with internal Technical teams to develop technically and commercially suitable solutions.
  • Influence specifications and support customers in selecting appropriate products and systems for Data Centre projects.
  • Manage opportunities throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial identification and specification through tender, procurement, construction and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of UK and European Data Centre projects, ensuring opportunities are progressed effectively through the sales cycle.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, protecting project margin, value and overall profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the business's involvement within major Data Centre developments through additional products, systems and technical solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal Technical, Commercial, Manufacturing, Marketing and Operational teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the UK and European Data Centre market, including upcoming developments, key clients, contractors, investment activity and competitor activity.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, project pipelines, forecasts and commercial reporting, providing regular updates on project progress and anticipated revenue.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
