About Trueform

Trueform, a British manufacturing company, are a market leader in the design, manufacture and installation of signage, wayfinding signage, digital signage, street furniture and fabricated metal infrastructure products for all modes of passenger transport and airports.

About the Role

To support increasing expansion and demand for Trueform’s award winning products, the company is looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to strengthen the existing team, price new projects and bring in new sales to the business.

The candidate should have existing sales and estimating experience, gained within the shelter, fabricated signage, street furniture, architectural metalwork or construction industries.

We are looking for someone preferably with an engineering and/or product sales background or similar. You will take ownership of each enquiry, and bring a drive to the approach, matched with proven sales skills.

The individual will handle incoming sales enquiries, analyse technical drawings and specifications, and liaise with customers to ascertain exact requirements. Cost estimates and quotations will be produced, and followed up on.

Trueform will provide comprehensive product training and support, however an understanding of production and manufacturing techniques is essential.

You will be joining a small friendly team and work closely with a variety of highly skilled and experienced managers and directors, be hungry for success and career progression.

Responsibilities & Duties

Your main responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Handling incoming sales enquiries
  • Liaising with clients to ascertain their exact requirements
  • Analysing technical drawings and specifications
  • Responding to and advising on technical queries
  • Obtaining material pricing from the supply chain
  • Producing cost build-ups and quotations
  • Following up on quotations
  • Promoting Trueform’s design and manufacturing capabilities
  • Collaborating with other business units to pursue opportunities for the benefit of the entire company
  • Conducting all client dealings with professionalism, integrity, and high ethical standards
  • Providing prospect reporting, forecasts, client feedback, and other necessary information for business planning

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in sales and estimating, preferably in a street furniture or engineering-lead product industry
  • Familiarity with manufacturing would be a distinct advantage
  • Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) Sales processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of the local authority market and procurement
