Technical Sales Manager - Solar PV Inverters/BESS
UK (remote) with travel to London
Mint Selection have partnered with a European utility scale inverter and C&I BESS manufacturer to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to help drive the next phase of their growth plans.
Whilst they are active in 20+ countries, the UK is a relatively new market entry (<2 years). The successful candidate will support and develop opportunities across the three core pillars of the UK business - Utility Scale Solar PV, BESS, Repowering & Revamping.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Solution Development
- Work with customers to understand project requirements, technical constraints, and commercial drivers across solar PV, BESS, and repowering opportunities.
- Develop technically appropriate solutions and clearly communicate product, system, and lifecycle-service value propositions.
- Support technical discussions with developers, EPCs, consultants, asset owners, and investors from early engagement through to contract award.
- Coordinate with product, engineering, service, and operations teams to prepare proposals, responses, and solution recommendations.
- Act as a bridge between customer requirements and internal technical capability, ensuring solutions are practical, competitive, and deliverable.

Commercial Development & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers, EPCs, investors, consultants, and asset owners.
- Identify and originate new opportunities across utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and repowering markets.
- Support the growth of our client's UK customer base, opportunity pipeline, and commercial position.
- Assist in the preparation of bids, tenders, and commercial offers, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial competitiveness.
- Represent our client at customer meetings, technical workshops, industry events, and conferences.
Market & Product Development
- Help define and execute our client's UK technical sales approach across key market segments.
- Track market developments, grid and project requirements, customer needs, and emerging technical trends.
- Promote differentiators across inverters, energy storage, repowering, and lifecycle services.
- Provide customer and market feedback to support the expansion of products, services, and technical positioning within the UK market.
Requirements
- Several years of experience within renewable energy, energy storage, power electronics, or power infrastructure.
- Strong exposure to solar PV, BESS, inverters, grid connection requirements, or related technologies.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate technical concepts to both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Customer-facing sales, technical sales, applications engineering, or solution-support experience.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Commercial awareness and confidence supporting bids, tenders, and customer proposals.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a growing UK business.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
