Our innovative products are designed and built in Northern Ireland to meet the highest engineering standards, emphasising reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
Territory: Great Britain, primarily England and Wales, with regular travel and overnight stays.
Purpose of the role
Build our dealer network, develop relationships with agricultural contractors and farmers, and provide practical technical advice, machinery demonstrations and mechanical support.
Main responsibilities
- Travel throughout England and Wales to identify new customers and develop our dealer network.
- Develop and deliver a territory sales plan, meeting agreed sales targets.
- Build strong relationships with existing customers and dealers to increase repeat business.
- Understand customers’ requirements and recommend suitable equipment and specifications.
- Organise and carry out machinery demonstrations, customer visits and dealer training.
- Prepare accurate quotations, negotiate within agreed pricing limits and follow up opportunities through to confirmed order.
- Work with engineering and production to confirm technical requirements, pricing and achievable delivery dates.
- Ensure orders contain complete and accurate specifications before handing them over to production.
- Provide technical and mechanical support when required, working within your training and competence and alongside the service team.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM, sales pipeline and monthly sales forecast.
- Represent Slurryquip at agricultural shows, demonstrations and industry events.
- Gather feedback on competitors, pricing and opportunities for product development.
- Help resolve customer issues promptly in coordination with the relevant teams.
- Communicate agreed deposits and payment terms clearly and ensure these are followed.

Skills and experience
- Proven sales experience in agricultural machinery or a related technical sector.
- Mechanically minded, with practical knowledge of agricultural equipment.
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to explain machinery clearly.
- Confident carrying out machinery demonstrations and supporting customers with practical queries.
- Experience developing dealer relationships and managing a sales territory.
- Ability to negotiate and close sales while protecting profit margins.
- Organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Confident using CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales records.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.

How success will be measured
Sales revenue, gross profit, growth in active dealers and customers, quotation conversion, forecast accuracy and customer retention.
