Job Description
Elite Renewables is one of the South East's leading installers of heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage, MVHR and cooling systems. We're known for the quality of our design, the depth of our technical expertise, and the calibre of our installations - from premium residential retrofits and luxury new builds to schools and public buildings.
We're growing, and we're looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to help us serve more clients with the level of knowledge and experience that we’re known for.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the full sales cycle - from first conversation through to signed contract. You'll work with homeowners, architects, developers, and main contractors on projects ranging from £20,000 residential systems through to £500,000+ commercial and high-end residential installations.
What you'll be doing day to day:
- Building relationships with architects, developers, and consultants who have ongoing project pipelines
- Responding to inbound enquiries quickly and converting them into opportunities, recommending the right solutions for their project
- Conducting site surveys, producing estimates and technical specifications
- Producing proposals that win on technical quality, not just price
- Working with our design and installation teams to deliver projects that customers refer their friends to

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we're looking for:
You're either currently working in renewables sales, technical pre-sales, or design - or you've come from a closely adjacent field (heating engineering, M&E consultancy, building services) and want to move into a sales-focused role.
The right person will have:
- Strong technical knowledge of: heat pumps (air source and ground source), solar PV and battery storage systems, air filtration (MVHR) and air-conditioning systems.
- Experience selling, specifying, or designing residential or commercial renewable energy systems
- The credibility to hold a technical conversation with an architect or building services consultant
- A track record of converting opportunities, ideally with examples of projects above £50,000
- The discipline to respond to leads fast, follow up properly, and close
You don't need to be a ‘sales-y’ salesperson, as that’s not our style. You need to be someone who customers trust because you’re passionate about renewables and actually understand what you're talking about. Clients choose Elite because we love renewables and they trust us to make the right recommendation, not because we come across like salespeople.
