About the Role

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity that could work well alongside another role or existing commitments. It is NOT an eight-hours-a-day position, and we focus on results rather than monitoring every hour worked.

What matters is that you have sufficient availability during normal working hours to speak with customers, respond to enquiries, follow up consistently and keep opportunities moving. You will have considerable flexibility in how you organise your time, provided customers receive a responsive and reliable service.

The package includes a part-time salary with a strong performance-related commission element. Your earning potential will be closely linked to your results: someone who builds a strong pipeline and converts sales successfully could earn the full-time salary or more.

Ultimately, the more value you create and the more you sell, the more you can earn.

About Blade Architectural Glazing

Blade Architectural Glazing is a growing UK specialist in premium, large rooflights and architectural glazing. We work with homeowners, architects and builders on design-led projects across the UK, with particular expertise in oversized single-pane rooflights and technically demanding installations.

Our range includes extra-large rooflights, walk-on glass, side-return glazing, lantern replacements and bespoke architectural solutions. Some of our projects are high-value purchases, so our customers need thoughtful guidance and genuinely personal service.

The Opportunity

This is not a role for someone who simply waits for orders to arrive. You will take ownership of enquiries, pick up the phone, ask intelligent questions, follow up consistently and help customers feel confident about investing in the right solution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will be the commercial link between the customer and our technical team. You will not be expected to design or survey products yourself, but you must be interested in technical detail, comfortable discussing drawings and specifications and able to recognise when specialist input is needed.

What You Will Do

  • Manage new enquiries from homeowners, architects, builders and developers, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Build rapport quickly, understand the customer's plans and identify what really matters to their project.
  • Explain the value of a fully engineered, premium rooflight system and confidently differentiate it from lower-cost alternatives.
  • Proactively follow up proposals by phone and email, overcome objections and move opportunities towards a clear decision.
  • Develop relationships with architects, contractors and property professionals to generate repeat business and new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the technical team to confirm sizes, glazing requirements, access considerations and installation scope.
  • Provide a clear handover when a project is won so the technical and delivery teams have the information they need.
  • Support wider sales administration and contribute ideas as the business continues to grow.

Who Are We Looking For

Personality matters in this role. We need someone who is naturally easy to talk to, excellent with people and able to make customers feel comfortable discussing a significant investment.

  • A proven track record in consultative sales involving premium, high-value or bespoke projects
  • Confidence speaking with a wide range of customers, from private homeowners to architects and experienced contractors.
  • A proactive approach: you are comfortable making calls, starting conversations and following up without being chased.
  • Strong listening and questioning skills, with the ability to uncover the real priorities behind an enquiry.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail; dimensions, specifications and customer commitments must be recorded accurately.

Experience

Experience within the glazing, skylights, windows and doors industry is highly desirable and would be a significant advantage. However, we will also consider candidates with relevant experience in:

  • Technical sales experience
  • Experience with bespoke manufacturing, design-led products or specialist construction packages.
  • Experience reading architectural drawings, plans or technical specifications.

What matters is that you can sell value, not simply price, and guide customers through a considered decision.

How We Work

This home-based role suits someone in or around Peterborough who can meet the team when required. We offer flexibility and autonomy, while expecting commitment, responsiveness and reliable follow-through.

You will not be expected to cold-call or build your own lead list. However, we will value your ability to develop strong relationships with architects, contractors and existing customers, helping to encourage repeat business and recommendations.

What We Offer

  • A flexible, home-based role with a high degree of autonomy.
  • A salary and performance-related commission package.
  • Product and technical training
  • Support from an experienced technical and project-delivery team.
  • High-value projects and scope to shape our sales process as the business grows.
