Potentum
Potentum designs and supplies embedded electronics for the crane, aerial work platform, and heavy machinery sectors. Our UK focus includes RCI/LMI crane safety systems (patent pending, UK application GB2600868.0), HMI displays, sensors, and control systems for aerial work platforms and fire fighting vehicles.
The role:
- This is a remote role, with in person attendance at our Twickenham office required once or twice a month.
- Identify and develop new business across the UK market: crane and MEWP rental companies, equipment manufacturers, fleet owners, and system integrators who need RCI/LMI or machine safety electronics.
- Manage the full sales cycle by phone and video, from first contact through to close.
- Represent Potentum's technical product range with credibility, translating engineering capability into customer value.
- Contribute to positioning Potentum in the UK market through LinkedIn and other channels.
- Represent the company at industry events, including our first UK exhibition at Vertikal Days 2026.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
