Role Description
This full-time, on-site Technical Sales – Solar and Energy Storage role is based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The position focuses on identifying and engaging potential clients, understanding their technical and commercial needs, and proposing tailored consultancy and engineering solutions in solar and battery storage. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and delivering technical sales presentations, responding to client inquiries, drafting proposals and quotations, and supporting contract negotiations. The role involves close collaboration with engineering and advisory teams to ensure accurate scoping, pricing, and delivery of services. The Technical Sales professional will also maintain client relationships, provide post-sales technical support, and contribute to market research and business development activities.

Qualifications

- Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with experience selling engineering or consultancy services in solar, battery storage, or broader renewables.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, manage expectations, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Ability to provide effective Technical Support, translating complex technical concepts into clear, commercially relevant solutions for clients.
- Relevant academic background in engineering, renewable energy, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of solar PV and energy storage technologies, project development processes, and key performance and risk metrics.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel), and basic data analysis for sales reporting and forecasting.
- Proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, international team.
- Prior experience in the UK or European renewable energy market is advantageous.
