About the role:
The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for understanding technical products and services and translating their features into customer-focused solutions. The role acts as a liaison between customers and internal technical teams, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements while supporting business growth.
Working location: Fully Office-based, Hounslow, London
Main Tasks and responsibilities:
- Analyse customer requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase product features and benefits.
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support and guidance to customers.
- Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to ensure technical solutions meet customer requirements.
- Act as the key technical contact for customers throughout the sales process.
- Prepare technical documentation, proposals and product information to support customer requirements.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing professional technical advice and support.
- Stay up to date with product developments and industry trends to provide accurate technical guidance.
- Support customer enquiries and contribute to a seamless customer experience from initial enquiry through to post-sales support.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the business.

Ideal candidate profile:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in technical sales, engineering support or a customer-facing technical role.
- Experience within the commercial vehicle industry, particularly buses and coaches, is highly desirable.
- Experience within the automotive, engineering or manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to delivering technical solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel across the UK when required.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable.
