Our client develops and supplies specialist scientific instrumentation and software used within highly regulated scientific and healthcare environments. As part of their continued international growth, they are looking for a French-speaking Technical Sales Specialist who can combine technical understanding with strong relationship-building and commercial skills.

Following comprehensive product training, you will take responsibility for developing an established territory, working with customers and distribution partners to identify new opportunities while growing existing accounts. You'll become a technical expert across a specialist portfolio of scientific instrumentation, software and associated products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing sales and new business opportunities across the French market
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell scientific instrumentation, software and complementary products
  • Delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations and customer training
  • Managing your sales pipeline, opportunities, forecasts and customer activity through CRM
  • Working closely with technical, applications and commercial colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Representing the company at conferences, exhibitions and industry events
  • Travelling regularly throughout France to meet customers and develop the territory

Requirements

This role is for you if you have / are:

  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience within technical/scientific sales
  • Degree in relevant Scientific discipline
  • Confident communicating technical information and developing relationships with scientific customers
  • Commercially driven with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
  • Able to commute to the Sheffield office when not travelling
