About The Role
Following the impressive commercial momentum we have created by building our own Technical Sales team in the last 6 months, we are excited to be expanding the team with a further 5 specialist positions.
The aim is simple; to drive growth and support promotion across our Arco brand ranges where possible, and proprietary ranges, for specific product categories including Gloves, Footwear, Hazard Wear, Clothing, Factory Equipment, Hygiene and PPE.
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you’ll own one of the specific categories, growing sales across Arco brand and proprietary products in current customers, as well as driving new business wins. Alongside selling, you’ll work very closely with our sales teams, acting as the subject matter expert to upskill product knowledge, and unlock greater value across key accounts, helping to capitalise on our Build for Growth strategy.
The Technical Sales Specialist roles are nationally based, and you will spend most of your time visiting customers. We are therefore open on location across the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering a UK business development strategy focused on one or more of Gloves, Footwear, Hazard Wear, Clothing, Factory Equipment, Hygiene or PPE product categories, aligned to overall commercial objectives
- Identifying, targeting, and converting new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships and selling solution led product propositions.
- Supporting our sales teams through joint customer visits, demonstrations, and solution building discussions
- Building strong relationships with end users, procurement teams, health & safety professionals, and operational stakeholders
- Supporting customer trials, product evaluations, and standardisation initiatives
- Selling into a variety of sectors, and adapting sales approach to suit different risk profiles, working environments, and customer needs
- Maintaining strong awareness of EN ISO standards for specific category of products if relevant
- Providing guidance to customers and internal teams on product selection, performance ratings, and correct usage
- Demonstrate awareness of product category standards to support credible product conversations and translating technical information into clear commercial and safety benefits
- Acting as a subject matter expert for your products within the sales organisation and leading internal upskilling activities
- Tracking developments in the UK product market, including competitor activity, innovation, and pricing dynamics, and providing insight and feedback to commercial, category, and marketing teams to support range development and go to market strategy

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
