SIEMENS SMART INFRASTRUCTURE | ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS
Technical Sales Specialist / BDM – Low Voltage Control & Protection
Territory: South UK (Field-Based / Remote)
Business Unit: Electrical Products (GB&I)
Transform the Everyday: Power the UK’s Energy Transition
At Siemens Smart Infrastructure, we are shaping the future of smart electrification. By combining the real and digital worlds, we empower our customers to meet today's defining challenges: Decarbonisation, Digitalisation, and Decentralisation.
Our Electrical Products (EP) portfolio is one of the most extensive in industry, ranging from foundational contactors to intelligent air circuit breakers and IoT-enabled power monitoring systems. Following sustained market share growth across Great Britain, we are seeking a consultative, commercial, and technically minded Business Development Manager to lead our growth strategy across the South of the UK.
The Opportunity
In this field-based leadership role, you will champion Siemens' flagship SIRIUS (Industrial Control) and SENTRON (Protection & Metering) portfolios. You will act as a trusted advisor across a diverse customer ecosystem—engaging OEMs, switchgear manufacturers, panel builders, system integrators, and distribution partners to build smarter, safer, and energy-efficient systems.
Backed by dedicated technical application specialists, product managers, and modern CRM capabilities, you will enjoy true territory ownership and the strategic autonomy to drive impactful commercial results.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Regional Growth: Identify, qualify, and secure high-value sales opportunities across the South UK for SIRIUS & SENTRON low-voltage control, protection, and metering solutions.
- Cultivate Partner Ecosystems: Build and nurture strong consultative partnerships with OEMs, panel builders, system integrators, and channel distribution networks (ICPs).
- Deliver Value-Driven Solutions: Translate customer engineering challenges into tailored low-voltage packages that optimize energy efficiency, system safety, and operational uptime.
- Strategic Campaign Execution: Collaborate closely with UK Product Management and Technical Support teams to deploy targeted growth campaigns and launch digital product innovations.
- Pipeline & Commercial Discipline: Maintain rigorous pipeline management, opportunity tracking, and accurate forecasting through the Siemens CRM system.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
