Technical Sales Support Engineer

Are you a technically minded professional who enjoys working with customers, solving complex challenges, and influencing business success? We are looking for a talented Technical Sales Support Engineer to join our growing Plasma Technology team. As we continue to expand our presence across global semiconductor markets, this role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This is a permanent role based in Severn Beach, Bristol.

As a Technical Sales Support Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between our customers, Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams, helping to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements while driving business growth. From creating detailed technical quotations and supporting tender responses to managing non-standard engineering requests, you'll be at the heart of the customer journey, ensuring a seamless and professional experience from initial enquiry through to order handover.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of the Technical Sales team, you will:

  • Develop a strong understanding of customer applications, technical requirements, and business objectives.
  • Provide expert technical support to customers, sales teams, and global representatives throughout the sales cycle.
  • Create accurate, professional quotations, technical specifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate quotation activities to deliver timely, high-quality responses that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support tender submissions by coordinating technical responses and working closely with commercial teams to deliver compelling proposals.
  • Review and manage non-standard engineering requests, ensuring customer requirements, risks, and opportunities are clearly understood and communicated.
  • Work alongside Engineering and Product Management teams to drive standardization and support future product development.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, providing valuable feedback that helps shape our products and solutions.
  • Ensure complex technical requirements are clearly communicated and successfully handed over to delivery teams following order placement.
  • Support the maintenance of CRM and quotation databases to drive operational excellence and process efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
