Job Title: Technical Services Engineer

Location: Stansted

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary/Rate: Annual Salary

Role Conditions

  • 5/5/4/4 shift pattern, working 07:00 – 19:00
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 times hourly rate

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure they are optimised for on-time delivery, within budget, and achieve high customer satisfaction
  • Produce accurate maintenance work packages and manage complex maintenance and modification projects in line with processes and procedures
  • Manage complex aircraft maintenance and modification projects to protect the critical path
  • Professionally communicate with customers to plan maintenance inputs, ensuring work scope is received, understood, and translatable into a tangible work package
  • Communicate with approved third-party vendors to arrange services, ensuring their attendance and time estimates align with critical path requirements
  • Work with Part-21 design organisations to engineer and support customer modification requests, ensuring documentation meets EASA/Foreign NAA requirements for implementation under company approvals
  • Prepare and chair internal pre-input review meetings as well as meetings with customers to discuss defects and specific requirements
  • Coordinate the acceptance of aircraft into maintenance
  • Proactively identify and resolve critical path issues that could affect the aircraft input schedule
  • Provide daily project progress updates to customers during aircraft maintenance
  • Instruct the shipping agent on aircraft import and export procedures for base maintenance projects
  • Review and complete the aircraft library, including Technical Log and Deferral Log, during input and upon release to service
  • Assist Document Control with reviewing completed paperwork and resolving any arising issues
  • Generate documentation and support certifying staff through the return to service stage of aircraft maintenance input
  • Assist the SBDM in managing customer expectations effectively

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in project management within an engineering environment
  • Experience in aviation maintenance, operations, CAMO, or manufacturing
  • Strong PC user skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and MS Project
  • Experience using Wings ERP or equivalent
  • Right to work in the UK
