Technical Service & Remediation Manager

London / Hybrid – Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office

£75,000–£85,000 plus benefits
National travel required

Are you a technically credible Technical Service & Remediation Manager who can investigate engineering failures, manage complex customer issues and make sure problems are resolved properly rather than simply closed down? This is a senior opportunity within a growing engineering business delivering specialist equipment and project solutions.

Role Overview

The Technical Service & Remediation Manager will take ownership once projects move into commissioning, handover, warranty and ongoing operation. You will lead after-sales support, servicing, warranty claims, remedial works and quality improvement while acting as the key escalation point for technical customer issues.

This is not a conventional service-scheduling role. The successful Technical Service & Remediation Manager must be able to understand an engineering failure, challenge technical teams and suppliers, coordinate the appropriate response and ensure corrective actions prevent the issue from happening again.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading all after-sales, servicing, warranty and remedial activities.
  • Managing defects, snagging, warranty claims and customer complaints.
  • Acting as the main escalation point for complex technical customer issues.
  • Prioritising problems based on risk, contractual obligations and operational impact.
  • Coordinating remedial teams, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
  • Managing planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown support.
  • Leading and developing the existing Service Engineer.
  • Monitoring service response times, completion performance and first-time fix rates.
  • Investigating non-conformances, recurring failures and customer complaints.
  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis using recognised problem-solving techniques.
  • Implementing and verifying corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinating inspections, technical assessments and recovery programmes.
  • Developing repair procedures and remedial methodologies.
  • Providing technical guidance during installation, commissioning and operational issues.
  • Working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to prevent repeat failures.
  • Monitoring warranty costs, quality trends and service performance.
  • Supporting supplier-quality improvement programmes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and grow the service offering.
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships throughout investigations and remedial works.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
