Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Technical Services Consultant based in the United Kingdom with a strong background in software development (5-8 years) and a minimum of 3 years in Solumina implementation. This candidate will provide expert technical guidance, implementation leadership, and troubleshooting support for Solumina MES deployments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal business outcomes for clients.
The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills. This individual will be responsible for driving technical strategy and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Consulting & Implementation
- Lead Solumina software implementation efforts, including configuration, extension, and integration with other enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, etc.).
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance solutions that align with client business objectives and industry standards.
- Oversee system integration between Solumina MES, ERP, PLM, and other enterprise systems.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to other developers, ensure system scalability, security, and performance.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and issue resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance.
Client Engagement & Support
- Function as a technical advisor, guiding clients on best practices and system enhancements, and optimization strategies.
- Educate and conduct workshops for clients and their IT teams to ensure they are proficient in using and integrating with Solumina and can leverage its capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product Development, and Customer Care) to improve overall product functionality and customer experience.
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing ongoing support and proactive recommendations.

Project & Solution Delivery
- Work closely with project managers to scope, plan, and deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define and document technical best practices, contributing to internal knowledge base development.
- Provide feedback to product teams on feature enhancements, usability, and customer needs.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience
- Proven experience (5-8 years) in software development with strong programming expertise in Java, JavaScript, Spring.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience implementing Solumina.
Technical Skills
- Software Development & Programming: Java, JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, microservices architecture
- Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, SQL query optimization
- Web Technologies & Data Formats: XML, XSLT, JSON
- Enterprise & Middleware Technologies: JEE, JMS, Tomcat, ActiveMQ
- Cloud & Containerization: Kubernetes, AWS, Azure (preferred)
- Version Control: Git, CI/CD pipeline
- Frontend Development (Basic Knowledge): React.js, Redux, Node.js, Web UI
- Software Development Concepts: Agile methodology
- Integration & Security: cybersecurity, data governance, API security

Preferred Experience
- Deep understanding of manufacturing process, A&D industry, and MES system.
- Hands-on experience integrating MES with ERP and other enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Certification in AWS and Azure are a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Right to Work: All offers of employment are conditional upon the receipt of satisfactory proof of the candidate's eligibility to work in the UK prior to the commencement of employment.
- Travel: Able to travel 30-40% of the time for client engagement.
