LOCATION: Wolverhampton EPMC

In the Manufacturing team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you’ll help power iconic electric cars. You will be working alongside incredible technicians and leaders to drive our commitment to shape a future we truly believe in, together. The department is responsible for maintaining site operations and developing the site infrastructure across the EMC. The department covers a wide range of responsibilities from managing the provision of utility services and management of key service providers on site as well as the day to day maintenance and safe operation of the site and facilities.

What To Expect

In this role, no two tasks are the same. With lots of projects and relationships to build with people across the business and beyond, it’s a challenge that will help your career grow within an iconic organisation. Here’s what to expect:

  • Manage and audit facility maintenance standards, SOPs and SLAs to ensure compliance and operational performance.
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers to achieve facilities, environmental and testing deliverables across the site.
  • Support and maintain SAP/IESA processes, including maintenance compliance, work orders, approvals and asset management.
  • Oversee building handovers, defect reporting, snagging activities and compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Develop site procedures, manage spare parts inventories and identify opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure statutory compliance for lifting equipment, pressure vessels, LOLER, PUWER, insurance inspections and NDT assessments.
  • Support manufacturing operations by maximising equipment uptime, managing maintenance programmes and securing cost-effective repair and service solutions.

What You’ll Need

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

  • Experience of working in a busy maintenance/technical role, in a high volume fast paced production situation and be able to demonstrate on how to deal with the changing business needs and priorities whilst maintaining focus on the roles requirements at all times.
  • Will have strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels within the business and the customer supply base.
  • Evidence of managing and leveraging maximum support from the wider team to achieve objectives.
  • Must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and can demonstrate effective problem management.
  • Have a high level of drive, self-motivation and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
  • Previous team organisation and management experience is essential.
