Technical Services Manager West London / Home Counties

Up to £100,000 plus package

We are recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to join a leading fit-out contractor creating inspiring office spaces through design, fit-out and refurbishment.

In the role of Technical Services Manager, you will play a key role supporting the preconstruction and commercial teams across a range of exciting workplace projects. You will be responsible for managing tender preparation, subcontractor coordination, cost planning and technical documentation, helping deliver competitive and high-quality project bids.

Working alongside Project Managers and the wider team, you will act as the technical lead for a wide-ranging portfolio of projects, predominantly commercial office fitout, but also pharmaceutical and life science works including laboratories and clean room spaces. Managing M&E service partners, compliance, maintenance, projects, and lifecycle works while ensuring each building operates safely, efficiently, and to the standards expected.

This is a fast-paced role where you will work closely with Technical Directors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure projects are commercially competitive, technically compliant, and delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical and engineering services across a portfolio of prestigious commercial office and life science projects.
  • Manage M&E and specialist contractors, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and engineering-related health & safety requirements are maintained.
  • Carry out regular technical audits and inspections across the portfolio.
  • Review RAMS, permits to work, and relevant technical and compliance documentation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Project Managers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, plant performance, and building resilience.
  • Manage relationships with clients, occupiers, consultants, and sub-contract partners.

About You:

You will have previous experience as a Technical Services Manager, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, PPM, statutory compliance, and contractor management is essential, alongside the ability to confidently manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
