Location: National role
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm | Hybrid with national travel
Are you an electrically qualified engineering professional ready to take the next step in your career?
We’re looking for a Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of electrical and Hard FM services across a large, national corporate account. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Services Manager or an ambitious Lead Engineer, Engineering Supervisor or Electrical Supervisor looking to step into a management position.
You’ll join a well-established contract where strong relationships, trust and collaboration are at the heart of service delivery. With plenty of autonomy, national exposure and genuine opportunities to progress, this is an ideal role for someone looking to develop their career within technical facilities management.
The role
Reporting into the senior account leadership team, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day technical performance of the account, leading a team of mobile and static engineers while ensuring services remain safe, compliant and delivered to a high standard.
This isn't a purely desk-based management role. You’ll be visible across the contract, spending time with your engineers, visiting sites and working closely with key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting a team of mobile and static engineers.
- Taking ownership of electrical and technical service delivery across the account.
- Ensuring statutory compliance and engineering best practice are maintained.
- Monitoring and delivering against contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Acting as an escalation point for technical and engineering issues.
- Supporting planned shutdowns, infrastructure works and technical projects.
- Working closely with stakeholders to maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Developing and mentoring the engineering team, supporting performance and progression.
- Driving continuous improvement across technical service delivery.
- Managing your own diary and travelling to sites nationally as operational requirements dictate.
- Supporting Authorised Person (AP) responsibilities across the contract

What we’re looking for
Electrical knowledge is key to this position, so you’ll need to be electrically qualified with strong practical knowledge and experience within building services or Hard FM.
You don't necessarily need to already be working at Technical Services Manager level. We’re equally interested in speaking to ambitious individuals who have the technical foundations and leadership capability to make the next step.
You’ll ideally have:
- A recognised electrical qualification with strong technical competency.
- Experience within Hard FM, Technical Services or building services engineering.
- A good understanding of electrical compliance and safe systems of work.
- Experience leading, supervising or supporting engineering teams.
- Knowledge of KPIs, SLAs and service performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to manage technical issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to leadership.
- The flexibility to travel nationally when required.
- Previous Authorised Person (AP) experience would be advantageous, although appropriate development can be provided for the right candidate.
