ISS is looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager/Hard FM Manager to join our team at a prestigious facility in Bolton.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated engineering team within a large, highly secure, and technologically advanced environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all engineering and maintenance services across two large manufacturing buildings while working closely with both ISS and client stakeholders.
You will be responsible for leading the Operations & Maintenance team and ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance activities are delivered to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and developing a team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Fabric Engineers
- Managing daily engineering and maintenance operations across the site
- Ensuring all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks are completed within agreed SLAs
- Driving statutory compliance and maintaining PPM performance targets of 95-100%
- Supporting high-voltage shutdowns and critical electrical maintenance activities
- Acting as, or working towards becoming, the site's Senior Authorised Person (SAP), including LVAP/HVAP responsibilities
- Managing contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring safe working practices are maintained
- Monitoring service delivery performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Producing technical reports, maintenance data, and operational performance updates
- Managing performance reviews, employee development, and team engagement
- Supporting quotations, minor works, and project delivery activities

What we're looking for:
- Vocational qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Technical Services, Building Services, or Facilities Management
- Previous experience managing engineering or maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services systems
- Good understanding of statutory compliance and maintenance legislation
- Experience delivering maintenance services within a Facilities Management environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience as an LVAP, HVAP, or Senior Authorised Person preferred, but not essential
