Technical Services Manager

At Ambit, we are committed to delivering outstanding projects through innovation, collaboration, and technical expertise. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Services Manager to join our growing team.
As a Technical Services Manager, you will play a key role in managing the technical aspects of project delivery, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure building services are designed, coordinated, and delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of technical building services across multiple projects.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, public health, and specialist systems from design through to completion.
- Review design information to ensure compliance, quality, and buildability.
- Work closely with consultants and contractors to drive effective design coordination.
- Monitor technical progress and support project teams in achieving key milestones.
- Manage technical risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Attend and lead technical coordination meetings with stakeholders.
- Support procurement activities and contractor management.
- Assist in the resolution of technical issues and design challenges.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical best practice across the business.

About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Technical Services Manager, Building Services Manager, MEP Manager, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems.
- Experience delivering technical services on construction, fit-out, infrastructure, commercial, residential, healthcare, or data centre projects.
- Understanding of design coordination and commissioning processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within project teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of project delivery objectives.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Membership of CIBSE, IET, IMechE, or another relevant professional body.
- Experience working within consultancy, contractor, or client-side environments.
- Knowledge of BIM, digital construction, and modern methods of construction.
- Understanding of sustainability and low-carbon building services solutions.
