Technical Services Manager (Electrical)
Equans is looking for a Technical Services Manager (Electrical) to join our team in Wakefield on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
Role Overview
The role holder will report to the Engineering Manager. The Technical Services Manager (TSM) is part of the team of site-based leads for all mechanical, electrical and building fabric technical service delivery. The role incorporates participation on the 24hr on-call rota as part of the local escalation procedures.
Responsibilities
- Management of Maintenance Teams: Ensuring the safe and continuous operation of the hospital.
- Coordination of Site Operations: Ensuring compliance with company, contract, and local operating procedures for a standardized approach to Equans service delivery.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provides leadership to technical services operatives and supervisors, driving performance improvements.
- Customer Relationship Management: Demonstrates excellent customer skills to exceed expectations and maintain effective communication strategies.
- Knowledge of SLAs: Detailed knowledge and understanding of Contract Service Level Agreements (SLAs), opportunities, and risks.
- Monitoring and Compliance: Ensures appropriate monitoring of services in line with Contract requirements and local agreements.
- Continuous Improvement: Celebrates success and drives continuous improvement with the team.
- Maintenance Task Management: Organizes and manages daily planned and reactive maintenance tasks using the Maximo CAFM system.
- Spare and Consumable Management: Controls and manages the ordering and replenishment of critical spares and consumable items.
- Minor Works and Revenue Streams: Assists with Minor Works and associated contract revenue streams.
- Defect and Lifecycle Management: Oversees and controls the raising of building defect and lifecycle issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Competent Persons: Ensures appropriate competent persons are trained and in place within the contract.
- Safe Working Practices: Actively monitors and controls the safe working practices of internal staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensures adherence to all Statutory Standards and Regulations and Department of Health requirements (e.g. HTMs).

Who We Are Looking For
- Qualified to HNC/HND level in an engineering discipline, with a proven managerial track record for past 3/5 years.
- A technical background within an electrical bias, preferably having had significant exposure to a Healthcare environment.
- Holds or has held AP appointments for HV/LV Electrical Systems or be willing to obtain through professional development.
- Demonstrates technical leadership.
- Must have (or be able to obtain) Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
