THE POSITION
The Technical Services Manager Livestock leads Boehringer Ingelheim's Livestock Veterinary Adviser team across the UK and Ireland, providing strategic direction, technical leadership, and veterinary expertise to support business growth.
As a member of the Livestock Leadership Team, the role works closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Technical colleagues to drive business performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality technical support across the livestock sector.
This is a field-based role covering the UK and Ireland, with regular travel required.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Veterinary Advisers across the UK and Ireland
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Livestock business strategy as a member of the Leadership Team
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality veterinary and technical support to customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Oversee the management of technical enquiries, product complaints, and suspected adverse events
- Ensure marketing and promotional activities comply with the NOAH/APHA Code of Practice and Veterinary Medicines Regulations
- Review and approve promotional materials for technical accuracy and compliance
- Develop and deliver technical training on products and disease areas to Sales, Marketing, and Animal Health colleagues
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), industry bodies, and strategic customers
- Represent Boehringer Ingelheim at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
- Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and industry trends, providing insights to support business objectives
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, and global teams to support product and business strategy

REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Veterinary degree eligible for registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
Skills & Experience
- Significant veterinary experience within livestock animal health
- Previous leadership and people management experience
- Strong technical, clinical, and disease-area knowledge
- Understanding of the veterinary medicines regulatory environment in the UK and Ireland, and NOAH/APHA Code of Practice
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively across technical and commercial teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex technical and business challenges
- High levels of professional credibility, integrity, and accountability
- Knowledge of industry trends, competitor products, and the wider animal health market
