Role Overview
We are looking for a practical and proactive Technical Site Coordinator to support the delivery of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and roadside technology projects across the UK.
This position is ideal for an engineer or technically qualified professional with approximately 3-8 years of experience in infrastructure, transport, telecommunications, electrical, or technology installation projects. The successful candidate will act as the local technical representative in the UK, coordinating installation activities, managing subcontractors, and working closely with engineering and project teams based in Spain.
The role combines technical understanding, site coordination, planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities for ITS and roadside technology installations
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
- Support the planning and scheduling of installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- Act as the local technical point of contact for site operations within the UK
- Liaise with engineering and project teams based in Spain to resolve technical issues and coordinate project activities
- Monitor site progress, identify risks or delays, and propose practical mitigation measures
- Attend site meetings with clients, suppliers, and other project stakeholders
- Support testing, inspections, commissioning, and acceptance activities
- Ensure site records, progress reports, and as-built documentation are accurately maintained
- Assist Project Managers in delivering projects in accordance with programme, budget, quality, and safety requirements
Requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Approximately 3-8 years of experience in technical, infrastructure, transport, telecommunications, electrical, or construction-related projects
- Experience coordinating site works, installations, or maintenance activities
- Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems and associated installation practices
- Experience working with subcontractors and field teams
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of site-related issues
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK as required

Desirable Skills
- Experience in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), highways technology, enforcement systems, communications networks, or roadside infrastructure
- Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and site acceptance activities
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation documentation
- Knowledge of UK highways or infrastructure environments
- Spanish language skills are highly desirable, as regular coordination with engineering teams in Spain will be required
