Technical Software Project Manager
We’re working with a leading quantitative investment fund that is looking to hire an experienced Technical Software Project Manager to join its technology team. This is an opportunity for a strong Project Manager to work in a highly technical, fast-paced investment environment, managing complex software and technology initiatives across the organisation.
You’ll take ownership of projects from initial definition through to delivery, working closely with engineering, infrastructure, quantitative research, trading and business stakeholders.
You’ll be responsible for bringing structure and momentum to complex initiatives — defining scope and objectives, building delivery plans, coordinating teams, managing dependencies and ensuring projects remain on track. You’ll also own project governance, reporting and stakeholder communication, ensuring risks and issues are identified early and driven through to resolution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
You don't need to be a developer, but you should be technically credible and comfortable engaging with engineering teams and understanding complex technical discussions.
Projects will span areas such as software development, quantitative research, trading, data and infrastructure, with exposure to technologies including Python, C++, cloud platforms, distributed systems, data platforms, CI/CD and Linux.
The technology is sophisticated, but the focus of the role is very much on project management, delivery and stakeholder management.
Experience within quantitative finance, hedge funds, proprietary trading, investment management, fintech or another technically demanding environment would be advantageous.
