At Codec, we're helping organisations transform how they engage with customers, streamline operations and unlock the value of their data through Microsoft technologies.
We're looking for a Solution Architect to lead the architecture of complex Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform programmes, working with some of our largest and most ambitious clients.
This is not a role where you'll simply produce architecture documents. You'll influence technical strategy, solve complex enterprise challenges, guide critical design decisions, work directly with senior client stakeholders and help shape how Microsoft solutions are delivered across Codec.
Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll design secure, scalable and supportable solutions that deliver real business outcomes while helping shape the future of our architecture capability.
Your Technology Playground
Dynamics 365 CE | Power Platform | Dataverse | Azure Power Automate | APIs & Integration | DevOps & ALM | Copilot & AI
You'll work across the Microsoft ecosystem to architect enterprise-scale solutions that bring together applications, integrations, security, automation, data and AI capabilities.
As Microsoft technology continues to evolve, you'll also have opportunities to explore how Copilot, AI and emerging platform capabilities can be incorporated into modern solution architectures to deliver measurable business value.
About the Role
This is a senior technical position with responsibility for shaping solutions from initial strategy and architecture through to successful delivery.
Working alongside Functional Solution Architects, Project Managers, Principal Consultants and senior client stakeholders, you'll take business requirements and transform them into robust technical solutions.
You'll own the technical architecture across solution design, integration, security, data, environment strategy, performance and scalability, DevOps and ALM, and technical governance.
You'll play a key role in ensuring solutions are technically sound, commercially viable and aligned with both client objectives and Microsoft best practices.
Key Responsibilities
What You'll Have the Opportunity to Do
- Shape the technical direction of large-scale Dynamics 365 and Power Platform programmes.
- Lead architecture across complex enterprise environments.
- Work directly with CIOs, CTOs, programme leaders and senior business stakeholders.
- Solve challenging integration, scalability, security and platform design problems.
- Define reusable architecture patterns, standards and governance approaches.
- Influence Codec's technical strategy across Microsoft technologies.
- Collaborate with other architects across functional, technical, infrastructure and cloud disciplines.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of technical architects.
- Explore emerging Microsoft technologies including Copilot, AI and intelligent automation.

Key Responsibilities
- Own technical architecture across Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, Dataverse and Azure.
- Design end-to-end solution architectures and enterprise integration strategies.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops and architecture reviews.
- Define integrations, data architecture, security models, workflows and environment strategies.
- Collaborate with Functional Solution Architects to deliver complete end-to-end solution designs.
- Lead technical decision-making and architectural trade-off discussions.
- Work closely with programme and project leadership teams on planning, governance and delivery.
- Establish DevOps, ALM and release management approaches.
- Ensure solutions meet security, resilience, performance, scalability and availability requirements.
- Provide technical assurance and architectural governance across programmes.
- Guide architecture review boards and design authorities.
- Develop technical roadmaps and support platform strategy initiatives.
- Advise clients on licensing, cost optimisation, disaster recovery and future-state architecture.
- Promote reusable assets, patterns and Microsoft best practices across projects and teams.
- Mentor Principal Consultants and senior technical professionals progressing towards architecture roles.

What You'll Bring
- Significant experience designing and delivering complex Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions.
- Experience operating at Senior Technical Consultant, Principal Consultant, Technical Architect or Solution Architect level.
- Strong expertise across Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform and Dataverse.
- Experience designing enterprise integrations, APIs and data solutions.
- Strong Azure architecture knowledge.
- Experience with DevOps, ALM and environment management strategies.
- Knowledge of architecture governance, design authorities and technical assurance processes.
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, performance and resilience principles.
- Experience delivering solutions across large and complex programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience mentoring and supporting the growth of technical professionals.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
